HISTORY
Saint
Patrick's Hospital Inc. was founded and organized in 1968 on the corner of
Lopez Jaena and P. Mendoza streets, a stone's throw from Plaza Mabini and
the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
It
started as a 25-bed capacity 2-storey hospital, the brain child of Dr.
Abelardo B. Perez and his wife Mrs. Rose Martha M. Perez.
The
hospital was formally opened to the public on March 29, 1971 with Dr. A.B.
Perez as the Medical Director and Mrs. R. M. Perez as the administrator.
By the year 1974, an annex building was constructed and five years later
two additional floors were opened thus increasing the bed capacity to 100.
The
year 1995 proved to be another milestone in the hospital's history as new
building as big as the existing hospital was blessed and inaugurated. The
hospital now covers the corner of Lopez Jaena, P. Mendoza and P.
Panganiban street.
Saint
Patrick's Hospital is an accredited level 4 hospital with the
Philippine Health Insurance Corporation and was elevated to a Medical
Center in July 1997. It has remained a member of good standing of the
Philippine Hospital Association & the Private Hospitals Association of
the Philippines.
